Smith and wesson 9mm revolver 9861/16/2024 The M&P9 has excellent ergonomics with a 1911A1-inspired grip angle for comfortable handling. However, it has some features and refinements that similar guns sometimes lack. It's a polymer-framed, striker-fired full-size pistol much like the Glock 17. The S&W M&P9 is one of the best 9mm pistols available today, all things considered. S&W M&P9: An All-Purpose Smith & Wesson 9mm You'll run into both versions both new and used, but 2.0 is going to eventually be the only new one available as production of the original Shield winds down. You know that you're getting one of the best carry pistols possible with the M&P Shield 9mm M2.0. Granted, this is a sub-$400 gun in most stores, so expecting a custom-shop trigger would be silly to begin with. The new unit is decent - it's not in the same class as the VP9 or VP40 among striker guns - but is certainly an improvement. The go-switch has long been a complaint about the M&P series. However, the trigger stop was moved higher for less overtravel and a shorter reset, and a slightly better spring kit added. The actual trigger is the same it's the same hinged trigger and passive safety system. The other major revision is to the trigger. A bit of same have been added to the front of the slide, though not full front slide serrations. The other major superficial revision is to the slide serrations, as the rear slide serrations have been changed to a fish scale-like pattern. The grip texture has been changed, adding a little more texture and changing the nature of said texture to be a little rougher, a little more grippy. The revisions aren't enormous it's still more or less the same gun, but a few bits have been changed to make the overall gun better. The M2.0 series is a facelift of the M&P series, having been applied to the full size and compact as well as the Shield. Granted, a person complaining about how a sub-$500 pistol doesn't have a custom shop quality trigger is asinine, but unfortunately you can't compel people to be reasonable. A mushy or gritty trigger, for instance, is a common complaint. While the M&P series as a whole is excellent, there are some known bits that could always be improved. The S&W M&P Shield 9mm M2.0 takes everything that's great about the Shield and adds a few improvements. What are the Smith & Wesson 9mm pistols to get? Then the next day he is super grumpy! and she was asleep in bed after 10 mins (at 7:15). To manage his separation anxiety, Nick was given bedtime passes, a strategy developed by sleep researchers in the late 1990s. It used to take him up to an hour and a half or two hours to fall asleep. My son (now 4) has never gone off to sleep quickly. Jaxons mother says she sees something similar: I think sleeping through the night has helped with his concentration and focus at school, as well as his ability to deal with issues that would sometimes impact him emotionally., Jaxon is doing well in second grade, she says, and at home hes busy creating his own pop-up books and building extravagant structures with Legos. Brigid Day reports that with uninterrupted sleep, Nick seems more attentive to details. If your child is still crying after that time, return to the room to comfort him again. This will be trial and error to figure out how much, if any, sleep she will need in the daytime, and still fall asleep at her regular bedtime. Stimulating activities, such as splashing in the bathtub with his twin sister, Jordyn, or playing with his older sister, Jadyn, would have to happen before 7:30 nothing but low-key elements belonged in the bedtime routine. Sure she takes along time to fall asleep, but there could be good reasons. This does not mean that you should ignore your baby's cries. So, when your daughter crashes, she may just be doing a really late nap, not actually sleeping. Malow says that, when done faithfully, these techniques can improve sleep for roughly one-third of the children who try them. A child who is at least five or six months old should not need to drink more than eight ounces of fluid during the night. It is most important to be consistent, regardless of the waiting time chosen. He will goof off, even if he stays in bed, for two hours without falling asleep, then is exhausted by 5 or 6pm. WebHe sleeps terrifically at night (finally after 18 months old) but he still just won't take a halfway decent nap. You must always make sure that your child is safe. If the pillow is missing, you toss and turn as you try to go to sleep. We don't go back in to tuck her inonce she's in her room and we say goodnight the rules are she is to stay there and not come out and tuck herself in. we dont fall asleep right away we like time to settle down before we fall asleep. For several nights allow your child to fall asleep with you sitting next to the bed. Tired and weary, they will do anything to get their child to go to sleep. Hi sorry I know this was a long time ago and your little boy is probably 4 now! It is natural for you to want to comfort your child and keep him close to you. The value of sleep can be measured by your child's natural energy, smiling face, and happy nature during the daytime. I still put her in her room at nap time and told her she didn't have to sleepbut she had to rest (she would quietly play). As a parent, it can be hard for you to be apart from your child as well. Periodic Limb Movement Disorder or Restless Legs Syndrome Some teens might have: I don't know if emptying her room will help or not. Even so, they had to change his sheets about one night a week. It's not just the exercise but the fresh air and stimulation of all the fascinating things he'll discover that will help him to drop off. A good routine will make the evening more relaxed, calm, and quiet. Jaxon didnt take naps, but he often fell asleep in the car going to and from activities. Gluten free crumb crust1/16/2024 Cover the dough with a second piece of parchment. Place the dough in the center of the paper and sprinkle more gluten-free flour on top of the dough. Sprinkle a piece of parchment paper with gluten-free flour. This way you can get the dough nice and thin without it sticking to the counter. The easiest way to roll out this dough is to use two pieces of parchment paper. If you’ve got warm hands, a pastry cutter or two knives are the better options. I like to “snap” the butter into the flour. rub the cold butter into the flour with your hands.Use these in almost a scissoring motion to work the butter into the flour. Roll the cutter into the flour mixture and cubed butter. If you don’t have a food processor, here are a few ways to work the butter into the flour mixture. In just seconds, you can mix the gluten-free flour together with the other ingredients and then quickly incorporate the butter. The steam leaves pockets of space behind, giving the crackers a light texture.įor this recipe, I think a food processor is the best tool for the job. The little cold bits of butter melt and turn to steam during baking. The key is to incorporate cold butter into the flour mixture quickly. If you’ve ever made a gluten-free pie crust or biscuits, you’ll recognize the method. The cracker-like texture of a graham cracker comes from both the baking powder and the way the cold butter is cut into the dough. Here are the important steps you need to know to make a perfect batch of graham crackers every time. The recipe requires a bit of special care. Makes the dough rise and gives it a nice texture. Substitute: Dairy-free butter works great in this recipe. This steam leaves behind tiny pockets of space, giving the crackers a nice cracker-like texture. Cold butter is an important ingredient in this recipe. Since maple syrup tends to be thinner than honey, you might need to add a little extra gluten-free flour if the dough it too soft.īutter. Three tablespoons of honey give the graham crackers a nice sweetness and flavor without making the dough too soft. (If you use light brown sugar, the crackers will bake up lighter than those pictured.) Don’t replace the brown sugar with all honey or the dough will be too soft to roll. Substitute: Use an equal amount of light brown sugar. Since dark brown sugar contains more molasses than light brown sugar, it adds a nice color and flavor to the crackers. The sweetness of these graham crackers comes from a combination of dark brown sugar and honey. Substitute: If you don’t want to use a gluten-free flour blend, use 1 1/2 cups brown rice flour and 1/2 cup cornstarch instead.ĭark Brown Sugar. If your blend contains xanthan gum, you might need to use a splash of additional liquid to help the dough come together. Unlike many gluten-free recipes, this one doesn’t require xanthan or guar gum. Use your favorite gluten-free flour blend to make these crackers. You can also grind them into crumbs to use for a pie or cheesecake crust. The graham crackers, which are sweetened with honey and brown sugar, taste great enjoyed as a snack or used for s’mores. I need my graham crackers light and crunchy–and not too sweet. The few that I’ve tried have been either too thick and dense or too rich and crumbly. And, to be honest, I haven’t found a store-bought version that I like. I think graham crackers are one of life’s perfect foods. The result is graham crackers that are crunchy, not too sweet, and perfect for whenever you’re craving a graham. You only need a few ingredients and about an hour to make this recipe. Enjoy! Convection: Adjust time and temperatures accordingly.Gluten-free graham crackers are fun to make at home. Dnd beholder lawsuit1/15/2024 (Chaotic)Īlthough most beholderborn keep their natural born human names, in some cases, an awakened Beholderborn will take on a natural beholder name. (Neutral)Īfter I had committed murder, the blood seeped into my hands and awakened my power. While at a tavern, I connect with another beholderborn, and he taught me of the power I possessed. While adventuring I came into the presence of an artifact, that when picked up, awoke my power. I was gravely injured in an accident while I was alone, and the pain awakened my power. (Good)Īn unknown voice spoke to me in the night and whispered the dark secrets of my power. My village was attacked by an enemy, and I awoke during a rage-filled outburst. Some who discover their powers may never use it, fearing it, while others may revel in their new found abilities. Their knowing that power has inherently evil roots makes them cautious about its use. Those that are awoken to the power use it in varied ways. Their improved intellect seems to be the only outward sign of their heritage. The beholderborn often appear human, and may never know they are beholderborn, or even the story of their heritage, but through studying and some awakening event, they arise, and attune to their powerful abilities.īeholderborn roam the Material Plane, often not knowing the power they possess. For each new generation from his lineage, beholder blood runs, allowing them to connect to their powerful abilities. The first beholderborn died and his story and power dissolved away in the ruins of time. With him consumed with goodness, the god was pleased. The Beholder, as he went about his simple life, forgot more and more that he was ever a beholder or evil. He eventually integrated into society and mated with a woman that he had fallen in love with. However, he was set upon by the power of love and friendship, which shattered his xenophobic beliefs, and he grew to care for the people around him. He was horrified, and after many days of mourning his power, he decided upon his fate: that he would continue his lineage by taking over a small town to begin his reign anew. The beholder had become weaker, frailer, and unable to sustain his once-powerful magic. The god of order grew worried about his strength and cursed him to a human body. Long ago, a twisted and sinister beholder had spent his life learning vile necromancy and the secrets of the darkness and grew too powerful in the eyes of the gods. In this form, they float off the ground and fire energy from their now single eye and their many eye-stalks. Finally, their eyes merge together into a large central eye that glows gently with aberrant power. In their beholder form their body's bloat, their hair and scalp become eye-stalks (much like a gorgon) and their skin becomes bumpy, oily and oddly colored. However, in moments of extreme emotional stress, with significant practice, or at the mention of a word of power, they can morph into beholder like creatures. Ancient turnip jack o lantern1/15/2024 Carving turnips will be a fun project for everyone to participate in. I for one would love to see them sitting on many more front porches. I thought it would be an awesome family experience to carve turnips this Halloween season instead of carving pumpkins. A Turnip jack-o’-lantern is much creepier, much better version of the beloved All Hallows Eve symbol. Jack put the coal into a carved-out turnip and has been roaming the Earth with ever since." People in Scotland and Ireland began to carve turnips into scary faces to ward off evil spirts. By the mid-1800s, making jack-o'-lanterns was associated with Halloween, specifically, in parts of the British Isles, by which time the practice was also making its way with emigrants from. Later Stingy Jack freed the devil " under the condition that he would not bother Jack for one year and that, should Jack die, he would not claim his soul." After a series of tricks Jack dies and God would not let him into heaven. The Devil kept his promise not to claim Jack's soul and sent him off "with only a burning coal to light his way. It came from an Irish folktale of a man by the name of Stingy Jack. The History Channel states that Jack tricked the devil into turning himself into a coin and would not let him change back. Another common amusement at this season of the year is to make a turnip lantern, and in connection with this, I would warn my young folks that as a first step to do this successfully, they should procure a turnip righteously and honestly first, procure as large a turnip as possible, and then proceed with your pocket knife to scrape out all the substance of the turnip, leaving only the rind. The Jack-O-Lantern name has an interesting story behind it. The American tradition during Halloween of carving pumpkins (Jack-O-Lanterns) was brought to us by Scottish and Irish settlers. Hello again everyone and welcome back! In my last blog I mentioned the old Scottish tradition of carving turnips. Atlassian treesource1/15/2024 Let’s also say one of those subsequent commits affects a file that was changed as part of the commit you deleted. Let’s say you’ve deleted a commit, and Git is now replaying subsequent commits. Avoiding confusion during interactive rebase “mine” vs. Just drag and drop them in Sourcetree’s “Reorder and amend” window. Whether to save yourself from reprimand or to group related commits together for ease-of-grokking, reordering commits is easy. I’ve also seen commit histories where commits for feature X were scattered around and interleaved with commits for feature Y, making it hard to get a sense where feature X is at in its development. Once upon a time, I got into trouble because the commit history of a repository clearly showed that I was working on feature Y before feature X, contrary to the project plan. In fact, you really ought to update the commit message in such cases so that it’s clear to everyone what the commit now contains. Rewording commit messages is also useful after you’ve added staged changes to an existing commit. A window will pop into view where you can tweak or completely replace the commit message. Rewording commit messages lets you tell the story in a way that your colleagues (and your future self) will be able to make sense of.ĭouble-click on the “Description” column in the interactive rebase screen. When you’re in the middle of solving a problem, you don’t know how the whole story will read. When rebasing continues, it will drop back out to Sourcetree, allowing you to do whatever the heck you want before continuing on. To use this feature, check the “Amend commit?” checkbox on the commit you’d like to edit. But the git commit – -amend command lets you do things like change the commit message or add staged changes to a previous commit. Or, you can use the squash with previous option by right-clicking or using the button at the bottom of the dialog. To use the squashing feature in Sourcetree, drag and drop rows on top of one another. Squashing lets you combine tiny-yet-related commits into a single, meaningful commit. Panic commits tend to be small and, taken in isolation, rather trivial. Squashing is a nice way to tidy up after a series of “panic commits” – when you write a line of code, then are overcome by fear of a sudden widespread power shortage resulting in the loss of your work. From there, you’ll have the chance to rewrite your repository’s history with the help of a few operations. AuthorWrite something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
